UBAIDULLAKHAN’S ENTRY ONTO THE POLITICAL STAGE: HISTORICAL PROCESS AND POLITICAL PREPARATION

This article analyzes the process of Ubaydullah Khan’s (1486–1539), an important figure in the history of Central Asia in the 16th century, entering the political scene. The study examines Ubaydullah Khan’s genealogical position in the Shaybani dynasty, his formation in the political environment during his childhood and youth, the experience of state administration he gained through governing the Bukhara region, and his path to supreme power in 1533. Based on historical sources, the article emphasizes the role of military experience, religious and spiritual factors, and dynastic rivalry in Ubaydullah Khan’s achievement of political maturity.
